I've recently been getting into Matcha and learning about its benefits. Today, I wanted to share with you a little bit of what I have learnt and one of my favourite ways to drink Matcha. Your going to love it!
Matcha is a Japanese leaf that is ground into a powder to drink as a tea or even use in recipes. Matcha holds antioxidant ingredients and the one that is most beneficial is EGCg (epigallocatechin gallate) which makes up 60% of the catechins in Matcha green tea. EGCg is most recognised for its cancer fighting properties. So who doesn't want to jump aboard the Matcha tea train?!?
Recently I have been trying to drink a Matcha drink every morning to help give me a good start to the day. Most of the time this is at home, however Starbucks have now started to provide Matcha Lattes and so this is my go to drink when I am on the go. However, in the afternoons I am loving to indulge in a Iced strawberry Matcha Latte and you can see how I make it in the recipe below!
