Its February and many of you may be crushing your new years goals like a boss!! However, the rest of us may be feeling a bit deflated and unsure. Today's post is to help you guys stay motivated and on track with your goals and resolutions! Here are 5 tips to crushing your goals. 1. Begin by defining your goals.
Start by printing off my free printable and set your goals for each category. What are your financial goals? Your career/business goals? Health goals? Relationship goals? and so on. These could be small or big. Maybe your financial goal is to be debt free by the end of the year? Or maybe it is to save enough money for that camera you have always wanted? Whatever they are, take some time to sit down and think about what they are and write them out. Once you write them down on paper, everything already seems more real.
2. Spread the word!
To make yourself accountable to these goals, spread the word! Tell your friends, tell your partner, tell your parents or even your co-workers! This way, it makes you accountable to them and makes you complete your goals. If you fall of track or start slacking, you will also have several people to pick you back up again!
3. Break your goals down.
Having one big goal is so daunting and more often than not when you look at the end goal it can put you off the journey as it so daunting. So break it down! Don't just look at the end goal and never plan on how to get there. Plan the journey! Break your goal into little goals. For example, if your goal is to pay off a £1,000 debt by the end of the year break the goal into paying off £83 a month. This definitely looks less daunting and more do-able! Break your goals down and you can do it!
4. Work on your goals daily.
Try making a chart, this will help you to track your achievements visually. We are such visual beings and we can so easily forget this sometimes. You may be achieving all of your goals but when we can't see the progress we forget how much work it took to get there. A chart allows us to see our achievements and keeps us on track. In turn, this motivates us to do more!
5. Inspiration Board.
Following on from being visual beings, an inspiration board is such a great tool to staying on track! To be able to see all the things you dream off and are aiming towards makes such a difference in our efforts. If you can see the fresh fruit bowl or the gorgeous town of Tuscany on your board on a day to day basis it pushes you to take action every day to get to your goals. Try keeping your inspiration board where you can see it daily. I have mine above my computer screen so that I see it every morning and every time I sit down to do some work. Others keep theirs on the back of their bedroom doors, in their bathrooms or even in their kitchens. Hang your board wherever you will see it daily and try to always take a minute a day to visualise yourself achieving your goals. I like to hold my Citrine Crystal whilst doing this.
